Sunita joined Hatten Wyatt, our Gravesend firm, in 2018 as a Junior Executive in the Private Client Department. She completed her LLB Law Degree at The University of London in 2007 and her Legal Practice Course at The College of Law in 2008.
Sunita has two years’ experience in dealing with Private Client Matters including Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Probate and Inheritance Tax cases.
While thinking, talking and planning for death may feel uncomfortable, you need to consider how much worse the situation would be if you died or became incapacitated – through illness, accident, old age or emergency – without putting things in place during your lifetime.
The nature of Sunita’s role means she works closely with her Clients, getting to know them so she can deliver a tailored personal service to each one.
Sunita advises on the following issues:
- Making a Will – We spend our lives working to provide for ourselves and our loved ones. You may have a house or flat (in the UK or overseas), shares, savings, investments as well as your personal and digital possessions. All of these assets are your 'estate'. Making a Will ensures that when you die your estate is shared according to your wishes.
- Lasting Powers of Attorney – If you become unable to make decisions for yourself in the future, someone will need to make decisions for you. Who does this will depend on the situation. If you wish, you can officially appoint someone you trust to make decisions for you. This is called making a lasting power of attorney (LPA), and enables you to give another person the right to make decisions about your Health and Welfare and your Property and Financial Affairs.
